ICYE Volunteering Abroad Information day

Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

For those who are interested in volunteering abroad with local NGO’s, ICYE-Volunteering Abroad is holding an information day on Tuesday 16th December. The info day is a fantastic opportunity for you to find out more about us, and for us to find out all about you, your skills and your experiences!

ICYE Volunteering Abroad is an ethical volunteering organisation and we send volunteers to work in countries throughout Latin America, Africa and Asia for anything between 3 weeks to 12 months. During the information day, you will be able to learn all about our long and short-term overseas projects, which range from environmental conservation to HIV and AIDS awareness. You can also tell us about the kind of volunteering projects that interest you, and together, we will be able to find a project that is right for you!
You can also meet a returned volunteer who will give you a realistic account about life as a volunteer!

The cost of an ICYE placement starts at £750 and this includes flights, accommodation, food, health insurance, pocket money, visa costs and support, full training and language lessons. In addition, part of the money raised will go towards hosting an international volunteer in the UK, so as to provide opportunities for those living overseas as well. ICYE Volunteering Abroad provides their UK volunteers with a lot of help with fundraising. Come along to our information day and find out about how we can help you with this.

If you can’t make it on December 16th, you can come along to our information days next year, which will be held on Saturday, January 24th and Saturday, February 28th! Please let us know if you want to come to one of those dates.
